• Transforming spaces. Transforming Lives

    Complete Transformation

The transformation of a rustic house to a modern home
Rustic houses are often large, multi-storey homes with small, isolated rooms.
The first task of that interior design project is to create an open space concept by combining these small rooms into larger rooms to make them bright and spacious, accommodating the contemporary lifestyle.
Prior to the renovation, the first floor of the house consisted of three small rooms. In the new project plan, these rooms were consolidated into a spacious room. This opened up the space to three clearly defined areas – living, dining (the former balcony) and a kitchen.
In order to create an open space concept, we needed to provide additional structural support by strengthening the girder which resulted in a relatively heavy horizontal surface. LED lighting was utilized to reduce the weight and to transform the room into a modern state of the art area.
The furniture is simple and functional. Neutral colors are utilized in white and Earth tones.

The sofas and the TV are arranged so that they blend into the open space concept without being obtrusive. The LED lighting on the girder, curtains and suspended ceiling gives the room character. The table and the bookshelf in the living room are custom.
The kitchen is custom made with wooden cabinets and polished white countertops offering a simple and neutral look to the area. The table and chairs are offer a unique blend of contemporary and classic look.
